Spring Dust Off Picnic
May 5, 2012
Ends: June 1, 2012
Something new this year, we are accepting donations for food for the Spring Dust Off Picnic after the meet.
We'll have BBQ chicken, hot dogs, pop and salads.
We'll start the food around 2:00PM, or when we are done on the water.
Feel free to bring a salad or desert to pass.
Dry Meet 8:00 - 12:00, then:
We will have a leisurely cruise around the lake at noon with picnic to follow.
We'll meet up at the dock at noon for the cruise, and picnic when we get back.
Picnic will be bring your own beverage and main course, and bring a side dish to pass.
There are charcoal grills and picnic tables at the park, as well as full restroom facilities and a pop machine.
We will keep our fingers crossed for good weather, but at this point it looks like Saturday will be sunny and mid 70's. Of course we all know that could change at any time.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
The Silver Lake Meet, also known as the Spring Dust off Meet, is an annual small classic fiberglass, aluminum and wood runabout meet in Silver Lake State Park in Perry NY. It is in its 6th year now and has been growing in popularity each year. Traditionally hosted by the Finger Lakes Chapter of AOMCI, Nickle City Classics and Paradise Boat Works, this year is the first year that NFACB is co-sponsoring the meet, so we hope to see a strong contingent of NFACB Members at the meet.
The meet starts out at 8:00am with a dry meet where final adjustments are made and old friendships are renewed. Then it’s into the water with the boats around noon. This year we are looking to organize a cruise around the lake around noon, with a picnic lunch afterwords.
